Default Beret on eBay

http://www.ebay.com/itm/121166722091...9#ht_96wt_1399

For the airborne collectors - Dave Oakie worked down the hall from me at 2 Service Battalion. What the listing neglects to mention is he was a two time Queen's Medal for Champion Shot recipient.

The beret is interesting as it is British manufactured.

There is a badge angle. (Then) Sgt Oakie brought some badges in for me to look at. The only one I recall was a King Edwars's Horse.

Thanks for the tip Phil. It arrived this morning after a lot of trouble due to seller not wanting to send it to a UK address from Canada. Yes its "modern" but it looks nice alongside the very little Canadian para stuff I do have and I couldn't afford a WWII version....

Wow... an impressive shooting career. Well done. It's a bit odd though that a retired WO would choose to pose for a public photo wearing uniform items mixed with civilian trousers....

Default Impressive shooting

Interesting rifle, appears to be a FN FNC with an Elcan scope and bipod. I wonder if shoots this in a military catagory or is it one of his personal favourite rifles.

Would a bipod be allowed in competition?
