Default Unknown British 1917

I have a large trove of photos from 1916-1919. All the men are wearing the same badge, it seems. They weren't taken to show off the badges! Here's two of the clearest. In hopes someone will recognize them.

Sorry if it's obvious -- cap badges and insignia in general are a new field for me!

The badge is that of the Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment).
