It's been re-coloured, either by watercolour or by a computer graphics programme. There was a TV series called WWI in Colour (I think they did a sequel from WWII and Korea) which were produced the same way...

Ok thanks, I thought something along that line, the photo really looks real, like you were there with them. I also thought might be re enactors wearing the period uniforms & kit,

Its a really nice image nonetheless, thanks or posting!

Here's another one Mick, Light Horse, AWM photo. The Eighth Bn photo is an old favourite of mine as well. Love the soldier sticking his head out of the tent near the stretcher. Thanks for sharing. Scotch
