Not the foggiest!
These two were in a collection of mainly WW1 and a few WW2 War Service badges, a few militia/volunteer association badges. All were British. What are these two rogues? I can't even get close to identifying them!
A bell (Liberty?) sword crossed key against a boat and the date 1879. Gilt brass, no makers mark 27mm x 21mm. Many thanks in advance, Alastair |

Not wishing to send you on a wild goose chase but the crossed sword and keys (St. Paul and St. Peter) with a boat is similar to the coat of arms of the Diocese of Portsmouth, so possibly ecclesiastical and a Hampshire connection?

Thank you, definitely connected to the Portsmouth Diocese (CoE) and therefore almost certainly not military. {edit} It's the Winchester and Portsmouth Diocese Guild of Church Bell ringers.
