Default Airborne patch

Hello! I have this patch for a while (a gift from a seller)...it seems like it have been cut from a battledress (still stichened on kakhi drill) but I can't find this strange and "thin" design...Do you know this style or is just a fantasy patch? Thank you!!!

Default Airborne Patch

Hello Trubia26,
You may want to check your Airborne Forces Formation patch against the check list contained in the following; https://arnhemjim.blogspot.com/p/british-militaria.html Just scroll down past the discussion of the WWII Canadian Parachute Corps badge. Hope this is of assistance.

Glad to have helped - I have similar badges in my collection, which I know came from the Belgian 1st Parachute Battalion (now disbanded).

Here's an example of Belgian post-war made Pegasus patches. The one in post #1 is in my opinion a poor replica of a British Pegasus patch.

I am certainly no expert, but If I was going to consider it several things jump out at me.

1. It's so pristine clean, to have been worn as indicated by the BD fabric.
2. The BD fabric reflects no wear either.
3. Although I love patches still sewn to uniform fabric, I am always suspicious when it is so neatly done - what are they trying to hide.

Just how I would evaluate it,

Terry
