Welcome to the forum Sam.

The Greek Sacred Squadron badge illustrated is not an original WWII item. The cap badge lugs and lack of motto on the reverse are a quick give-away.

If you use the search forum facility you will find original examples and further discussion about Greek Sacred Squadron badges both original and fake.

Please don’t let this experience deter you from collecting, we all learn by our mistakes and advice from other collectors.

Enjoy the hobby, Keith

I don’t think the British made this badge. In many years of collecting I have only ever seen Greek made badges. However, just because I haven’t seen a British made badge doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist, but if it does it is extremely rare!

Images of a crude Greek made badge in my spares/trades box…
