Default RNAS Motor Transport or Despatch Rider

The Book “Badges and Insignia of the British Armed Services”, page 241 241 states “A badge in the Scottish Services Museum consisting of a winged wheel above the letters RNAS, in red on dark blue. is thought possible that this badge was for MT personnel or despatch riders”.

Although I have two badges, including an identical red badge to the one in the museum, I have not come across any photograph, until now, of a rating wearing the badge. It is difficult to see the badge in the photograph. being red on blue, but this is definitely the same badge.
