Berkshire yeomanry
Another one on my suspect list. Pretty sure this is duff. Others I have seen on the forum have three lugs, the reverse of other badges seem to be deeper “ recessed “ than mine. Lugs could be dustbin type. Just does not have a quality feel to it. But again as I am still learning over to you guys.

Thanks Luke, no surprise. Think I may have to get a bigger box for my duff stuff.

Chris mount them on some Cardboard they still look O/K, and you can use them as a reference source, use a pencil to write faults that make it wrong, some you can put on a seperate board as "Not Sure" or "Unknown", wouldn't be the first occasion that a badge given thumbs down gets upgraded because one has turned up with Provenance, but you can then use as a reference for when you pick up another and can compare.
Luke, Simon and many others have done for me what you are doing and I still have a long way to go to weed out my own collection, good luck though I have a few "ENGLAND" copies which are Fakes! but I like them as they're well made but kept away from my collection on the COPIES board and some Bronze Lancer badges lovely badges but not right! also, good luck on your collecting, billy |

Hi probably a silly question but I have always wondered why the chalk white horse on the hill at Uffington on the Berkshire Downs faces right and has done so for centuries and the badge of the Berkshire yeomanry faces left?

I would say when worn in headdress the horse wasn’t facing in retreat but facing left appears to be going forward, could be wrong ? Gerard
