Leigh K’s remark about serial number has really got me worried now. I always believed that my extremely well made one was genuine, but have just noticed that mine has a blackened back. Any ideas Gents? D.J.

My one was advertised as a "genuine and rare" badge and the seller had never seen one before so thought it was possibly WW1 era !

My comprehensive collection, the MHS example is the scarce maker marked example.

Always open to reasonable offers.

I would think listing it as a "genuine/scare/rare" badge would double if not triple the price. Seems to work on eBay!
