Default RAAF Belt Buckle

An interesting and from what I have been told rather scarce RAAF belt buckle.

Enjoy!

Lovely buckle!

Very elaborate, isn't it.

What era?

I think maybe 1930s or 1940s.

Have a couple of very knowledgeable RAAF mates, so will throw it their way. But I'd suggest earlier, a full dress belt buckle of the early to mid 20s. Later on the RAAF fell more in line with the RAF in terms of insignia.

Not a bad guess! Confirmed as a 1920s RAAF full dress belt buckle, officer issue. Probably more info to come as one of my contacts apparently has one!
