A Parachute Regiment badge may fit the two holes. Just a thought.

But parachute regiment did not wear sandcoloured beret.

Hi,
All the pictures have been close-up.
Could you post a pic of the beret showing it overall, looking down.
what is the measurement across, side to side? I would expect it to be about 10-11 inches across.
I can see a figure 7 in one picture, can you make anything else out? any WD inspection mark visible?
Did Ivans suggestion show anything or inspection of the badge with black-light?
There is an interesting line of stitching running from one point of the diamond to the other, I cant remember seeing this before? anyone else?
Is there a leather patch over the air vents?
We've not given up yet, look forward to more pictures,

Sorry - lost track of this post; been working on the jeep restoration..

I've attached a photo of the bert showing it to be about 9.5" wide.



Can't see anything in addition to the '7' and haven't been able to check the badge with a black-light. There is a leather patch over the air vents.
