Default Special Air Service (Artists) title

Guys,

I have serious doubts about this one. I believe it is a washed-in-tea reproduction that was also mutilated with a pair of scissors to look like the real thing.

The lettering, the material of the reverse and the general look and feel of this title point in that direction.

The original titles are dimensioned in such a way, one can cut off the (Artists) appendix without seriously cutting into the top part of the badge. Try doing that with the current reproductions.

I have seen the title on Ebay a while ago and decided not to bid.

best regards,

Johan
