Captain Marsh WW2 SAS, Leicestershire (PAO) Yeomanry
One for "The Regiment"
Captain Michael Marsh's Leicestershire (PAO) Yeomanry uniform post WW2 had the SAS Wings and the "Leicestershire Yeomanry" cloth shoulder titles that were "White" letters on "black" cloth. (These were unique shoulder titles in colour as the rest of the LY PAO wore Red on Army Blue) Captain Marsh can be seen 4th from the right (Front Row) He wore a red beret with this (actual) badge on it:- He was a Solicitor post WW2 and "Oldham & Marsh Solicitors" still survives in Melton Mowbray today. His uniform was sold a few years ago by a dealer in Oakham...... if anybody has or buys a uniform with SAS Wings and Leicestershire Yeomanry on the shoulder titles then you know who it belongs to I dont know about his WW2 service..... but I do know that he became O/C A Squadron Leicestershire (PAO) Yeomanry c1950.
