They are original. With the synthetic fabric backing, these wings date to the 1960's.

The threads are actually not synthetic, they are all cotton.
Black cotton mesh with a paste stiffener.

Hi fez, Thanks for the note. There are some of these made with a synthetic backing. The ones you show are from the 60's.

Authenticated wartime ones range from $75 up.

These wings appear to be Type 8 in Ken Joyce's book, which are dated to the 50's.
