Default Parachute Pin & Royal Cipher

Parachute pin was bought at a garage sale over 20 years ago. The sale was on an air base.

The pin is almost 4 cm wingtip to wingtip.

The George VI pin was another garage sale find many years ago.

Any ideas on the origin or purpose for these pins?

Para pin is close in design to the Italian Military para qual. However, due to the crudeness of manufacture, it could be just about any para qual.

Guessing the GVIR pin may be some style of tie tack.
