1-D shoulder title query
Hi all,
In a rush of blood to the heart and not head I bought this pair of shoulder titles today. I had congratulated myself before I looked in Westlake that I had got an early pair of 1st Royal Dragoon or 1st Dragoon Guard shoulder titles. Now I am less cocky. Westlake notes the use of letters L, D, H with numerals but no mention of 1-D. 1 RD and 1 DG but no 1-D. Certainly there are titles linked like these with a horizontal 'hyphen' bar eg D-G. Are they just not in Westlake or Australian or Canadian but have not made a regimental title fit as yet. Assistance appreciated, cheers Dean. |

Dean, I think they are parts of larger multi-part titles. I say that because of the way the lugs are mounted, horizontally rather than vertically, if you get my drift. I'm not sure who would have worn multi-part titles with 1-D in them but I don't think they are 1st Royal Dragoons.

Thanks lads - will hang on to them and am sure one day I will find an obscure reference to them, they could well be part of a larger title and I hadn't considered that, cheers Dean

good evening,
I found it there some time a remnant of "title" is a bit like with some British button. front : back : size : large : 17,05 mm (all) - 9,72 mm (only the "D") hight : 12,40 mm (only the "D") weight : 1,77 gr in the first time, I think to the Dragoon Guards shoulder title D-G. maybe a Canadian shoulder title? thank's a lot for your answer. sorry for my English. regards Michel |
