Default Admiralty Constabulary Bad Badges

The images depicted have been known as BAD badges for a number of years.
About forty years or more ago, a shop in Keswick that used to sell army surplus on the side, etc. had two large cardboard drums full of these badges. I notice this badge is featured in collections and appears on ebay at an alarming rate. The first image has been coloured with enamel like paints and on used (by myself) to enhance exhibitions on end ledges etc.. But these are all BAD badges. Harry

I have never seen a coloured version. I have the bad badges in my collection, as bad badges. There are similar bad versions for the Air Ministry Fire Service.

Default Bad Badges

Sorry Phil if I mislead you, but I coloured this one myself with others for museum display decorations on ledge ends. Harry

Default Bad Badge

That's alright Phil, but just in case you may not seen this one, it keeps appearing from time to time. Harry

Thanks, Harry, I had not seen that example before. I will have to look out for one.

Cheers,

Phil
