WW2 RAOC Lanyard?

Hi folks

I've recently picked up a couple of WW2 RAOC lots, usual badges and officers bits and pieces. But each time they contained this type of lanyard.
Not one I had ever linked to the RAOC.

So the question is, is this indeed what officers in the RAOC wore during the War?
