Default Army Pay Corps Bronze cap badge?

Hi folks

I've got this QVC APC cap badge, lugged, (pinched) but it looks bronzed in colour.

My question are.

Is this an OR's badge bronzed in colour for a Warrant Officer?
Is it just dirty?
Or is it in fact an aged fake?

Regards
Sean

May be someone tried to remove verdigrisfrom a gm badge. This works very well with ammonia (NH3), but if you "bath" the badge in total, the base metal will turn to a dark brown bronze tone. The green copper salt is turned to a copper oxid.
This can also happen on its own over long periods of time if the appropriate environmental conditions affect the badge.
Otherwise for me it looks like an original badge.

Regards
Markus
