Hi,
Can anyone assist me with determining what badges and insignia are/were worn by the above organisations.
Ideally I am looking for identification of their badges and timeline of them being worn.
If anyone can recommend any reference books, that would be ideal.

As far as I'm aware there are no reference books. Insofar as HM Customs badges are concerned the situation is very complicated because of the number of former colonies who used badges stating "HM Customs" with either a Crown, EIIR/GVR etc. or portcullis and no other identifying emblem. Trying to pinpoint whether they are/were used at home or overseas is a nightmare.

HM Coastguard, have over the years used a much smaller range of cap badges but at the start of their history their badges simply mirrored those of the Royal Navy. I'm not an expert but do have quite a few examples, as do others. I hope this is helpful to some extent.

I must admit I have searched high and low for an information source, but have not found anything to date.

Would it be possible to view the badges you have to use as a guide.

I have a small number of badges that I have picked up, while collecting RN badges. I would very much like to compile them in some orderly fashion.

Hi Andy

I know of one good site that provides lots of uniform and badge information for HM Waterguard and Customs. Also show lots of Commonwealth badges.
