Default New joiner-training and course patches RCAF

Hello all,

Thank you for letting me join your forum.

Well a brief introduction.

My first name is Fred, 58 years old and from the Netherlands, and
served in RNLAF for 2 years period, which boosted collecting patches.

After collecting for over 30 years patches world wide, the last years
I am focussing on patches relating to training aircrews from the Netherlands, for example
class / course patches, see attached an example.

It is my purpose to leave a legacy by publishing a book on this subject to prevent "things get lost".

As our crews were trained in Canada during BCATP (WWII) and Nato Air Training Program (1950-1957),
I collect relating RCAF patches and otherwise the image.

I am always looking for historical information on this topic.

Help on this subject is appreciated.

Kind regards,
Fred
The Netherlands

A Nice Canadian training patch. The plane depicted is a WW2 T-6 Texan advanced trainer. Can't date the patch but post war since it says NATO.

Hi Terry,

Thanks for your message. This is one of the patches in my collection.

It dates 1954, class 10, with participants/student pilots from UK, France and Denmark.

Kind regards,
Fred
