I have a few Hen's teeth laying around......

Quite hard to find, it took me several years to acquire one and that was only this year.

Have still got mine, qualified in 1963. Known in the Corps as the order of the Dustbin Lid. The Certificate that comes with it is AFC 344.

The large army trained nurse seems to be either tarnished or blackend silver, the other 2 would seem to be like the badges my mother wore on her uniform and as she trained at West herts hospital she had one like this but better than this one shown, either in blue or green.

Technically made from nickel silver with an oxidised finish. Chapter and verse here:

Trained Nurse 31.12.56. List of changes C7672. Badges, Pocket. R.A.M.C. and Q.A.R.A.N.C. Army Trained Nurse (Royal Crest and swords crossed in Wreath) (Cat No CB 7557). The badge is manufactured in nickel silver, oxidised finish, and the design consists of the Royal Crest superimposed on crossed swords in the centre, around which is inscribed ‘Army Trained Nurse’, followed by a Wreath of laurel round the edge of the badge.

The Army Dental Hygienist manufacture is described slightly differently:

Army Dental Hygienist Introduced 31.10.57. List of Changes C8312.
Badges, Pocket. Qualification. Army Dental Hygienist (Royal Crest and swords crossed in wreath) (Cat No CB 7961). Manufactured in white metal, oxy. Silver finish, the design consists of the Royal Crest superimposed on crossed swords in the centre, around which is inscribed ‘Army Dental Hygienist’, with a wreath of laurel round the edge of the badge. David,
Slight tonal difference in this photograph from my collection but probably just lighting. I think they are the same and both do have the oxidised / gunmetal finish.
