Default Cwsf

A photo showing the Canadian Women's Service Force uniforms. The officer ladies are wearing the CWSF cap badge and collars, plus the very scarce embroidered shoulder title to the CWSF. One of the ladies is identified as Lt. Lilian Boot.

Bill, I don't suppose you have an example of this CWSF cap badge to show us, do you? I would like very much to see a nice clean image of one. I have seen the odd very poor photo of the badge, either too dark, too bright, or simply out of focus.

Default CWSF cap badge

Hi Cliff, Attached an image of the Canadian Women's Service Force cap badge. I don't have the collars, and Mazeas does not have any listed for the unit. I enlarged my image, but it is not clear if the ladies are wearing a small version of the cap badge or it may be a general list maple leaf pattern collar.
An ebay vendor from the Barrie area regularly listed CWSF cap badges a year or two ago. He must have had a box full of them, and they all appeared to be mint. Stands to reason, that if the unit was amalgamated to form the CWAC, their CWSF badges would have been redundant.

she did in fact have a shoe box full of them and was a vendor at the flea market at Collingwood on the weekends several years ago. I got several from her and there where no collars in the hoarde.
