Army Service Corps
G'day Guys
Need some help/opinions on this Army Service Corps badge. As you can see it sports a J.R. Gaunt London plaque. Now the question is - collar badge or Edwardian cap badge? Is there a difference and if so what??? John |

John
ASC OR collars were much smaller than the cap badge. The Gaunt plaque is not normal for an issued badge and is normally found on commercially sold badges - mostly for Officers, the RND or other nations. Alan |

This is the other ranks cap badge worn 1911-1919. The collar badges for the same period were smaller, non-voided and had a raised crown standing clear of the garter. The cap badges of this pattern mostly had sliders fitted.

Sorry for being a bit late to the post guys,
Below are a few images of Collars as well as Cap badges, they are both shown as per Regulars (gilded) & Volunteers (WM).
