Hello All,

To be fair, it looks better than the Queen's crown version....

I keep waiting for my son to let me know when the KC badges are on general issue. He’s RLC and the QMs hasn’t had any sight yet.

From my previous post last December:

From an official Army document:
“Transitioning the Army’s Dress to the Kings Devices.
All Army dress and accoutrements will change to reflect the new King’s devices – Tudor crown and Cypher. The Army have allowed eight years for the transition to occur and will centrally control the transition.”

From another source:

There are more than 1,500 separate items to be produced including cap and collar badges, rank badges and buttons.

While the Household Division have priority perhaps the RLC will be next?

I was told in confidence that a couple of Rifles items will be available soon with the new King's crown, the side hat badge and the Busby boss badge.

Of course as collectors we would like the new badges to be available as soon as possible.

However, as tax payers there are far more important things for our limited Defence budget to be expended on.

Like the recruitment and retention of more soldiers!
