Default Red Royal Lancers

Griff I am working on it mate but talk about guarded.

Well I had to go around the houses and finally someone gave up a red Motto from the Parade good job I still have a few friends serving. I also have a proto type that was forwarded for consideration. There are differences between these and the Ebay items.

Unhappy RL new badge

Horrible! Haven't met anyone who likes it yet. Most still think QRL should have held their ground for retaining the motto, esp as the 9/12 have now essentially got their arm badges through instead of anything from the 17/21 or 16/5.

Mind you we did all think we should have merged all three when the 17/21 and 16/5 originally merged - the RL was always going to be the end game

Default right place

Right place right time Griff.

The new look metal motto I like it looks very smart in the dress hat and its a chunk. The cloth have grown on me as well. I would have liked to see the 17th Arm badge continue as the oldest arm badge in the cav I think it should have. The Regiments 17th/21st....16th/5th...........9th/12th are represented on parade uniform. However the 21st and the 5th as individual regiments are not.

That said you can only have so many badges and the uniform is heavily badged.

I know theres talk of a standard ceremonial Lance Guard uniform as well have to wait and see.

Mac
