Default Opinions on 96th Glengarry Badge

I am aware that the 96th Glengarry badge has been restruck/copied/faked.

This badge came from a Newfoundland dealer, and as I have almost nothing invested, I have nothing to lose either way, but I'd like expert opinions.

Its a fake.

Typical of the numerous worn die, flat faced rubbish available on ebay every week.

I think having almost nothing invested would certainly suggest to me that it cannot be original before actually looking at the photographs, but, on doing so, I agree with Simon, this badge has been copied many times and you will only very seldom encounter an original example.
