Default 8th Punjab Regiment badge

Hello,

is it possible to determine if this badge is pre or post 1947? It looks local made?

Cheers

As the regiment became part of The Baluch Regiment (now The Baloch Regiment) in 1956, there are only 9 years between 1947 and 1956. All those having badges in 1947 would of course continue to use them. The same is true for any badge in store in 1947. It is not improbable that when additional badges were needed after 1947, they would have come from the same manufacturer as before, specially if that was a Pakistani one.

In short, I think it is not easy to find out if it was made before or after 1947.
