Thanks for that. Looking at all of the timber I hope they have a good fire control system unless it's only part of the display.

Nice thanks for sharing would love to visit , the beret looks brand new? I know the SAS regimental museum had his beret quiet worn. He could have had more of course and provenance is impeccable. Would like to see closer. Cheers JB.

I wonder if he had more than one Sam Browne belt as I believe the Royal Ulster Rifles wore black belts?. While the family provenance is impeccable the museum may have done a certain amount of ‘set dressing’ and added some additional items?

Tim,

I heard the SAS regimental museum has his service dress and sam brown belt and his sand beret. As an officer he would probably have more uniforms.


I think like you say the museum may have added some pieces as set dressing, I am not 100% sure of the badge on the cap either. Who knows. That being said it is a magnificent display of historical importance.
