Default 2nd West York, Pewter/Gilping & Co

Hi Chaps,

I have been fortunate with Yorkshire Militia Buttons these last few years and this one certainly falls into that category. Other Ranks 'pewter' buttons are the exception it would seem in surviving examples, so this one is an especially pleasing find.

2nd West York Militia, OR's in pewter and with a backmark that I believe is not too common that of Gilping & Co London.

Cheers,

Roy
