A cap worn by the Indonesian Corps of Civil Servants - the "Korps Pegawai Republik Indonesia" - " KORPRI".

This cap was worn by an East Timorese member of the prison service, sent to Indonesia for training he returned to East Timor ("Timor Timur" or "Tim Tim" to the Indonesians) and was based at a prison outside the town of Gleno, the capital of Ermera District, prior to the widespread violence which followed the East Timorese vote, effectively, for independence from Indonesia in 1999.
