4th SA Infantry Regiment (South African Scottish) Button
I believe the attached is a 4th SA Infantry Regiment (South African Scottish) 20mm button - does anyone know the dates that it was worn?

1916 - 1918 and private purchase, so not everyone wore them. The standard button the SA expeditionary force wore was the Union coat of arms

Is there a back stamp?

Thanks Milmed and Frank. The back mark is Firmin & Sons Ltd London. See thumbnail.

Very nice too, certainly not getting any easier to find these days either, it was perfectly normal for officers of the regiment to wear them, Lillico also made quite a number, their wares had a pleasing back stamp of "R Lillico 1 Maddox St London"
