Default Ephemera

Not journals or histories unless 'pocket' or short type, recruiting leaflets, posters, stationary, tour books - NI/Iraq/Afghan etc almost anything...preferably infantry.

Pity I gave away those three or four bin bags of British army and UN postmarked envelopes and the like from the 1970's, mainly Cyprus and NI, to the Forces History Postal Society a while ago......

Should have a few bits of RRF crested letterheads, 1 DERR and 1 Hants Int Cell buisness cards and the like knocking around.
I'll delve, see if I can find them.

I believe I could find stationary, leaflets etc, but once I start it could grow, a lot. How far from Norwich are you, as it could be to much to post.

Hi there sadly not infantry, but of the right era - see my coded 57389 (type in the search bar)

Are You The Man? - Original 1950s / Early 1960s Recruiting Leaflet for the Queen's Royal Irish Hussars

An attractive and clever recruiting leaflet which effectively folds out to make two sides of A3. Late 1950s / early 1960s vintage recruiting leaflet. It includes a history of the regiment since its earliest days and details about service and pay, guaranteeing no "spud bashing" as electric potato peelers have been provided to the Cooks and tank drivers could look forward to 6-2-6 a week minimum on a 6 year engagement in the Irish Hussars. How things have changed, this would not be enough to cover one hour of the minimum way today!

Cheers
Mike

A few bits but still looking.
The poster's about 17 years old (and showing its age), warning East Timorese that the items shown are dangerous. Not a British army item, but there were a few British military personnel in ET around that time.
