I was a member of that Corps of Drums (a looong time ago!)

All wore the drummer trade badge on the tunic in the style you show (ex Drum Major, which was a gold wire version), however, yours looks to be a modern or reproduction version.

I think the photo is recent and the badge clearly unsewn from a jacket, still with its red thread
