Default REME cloth badge

Does anyone know anything about this one please? Is it a TRF, cloth cap badge or something else? It measures 3.5 x 5.3 cm
Any information gratefully received.
Thanks in anticipation.

I think it maybe from a floppy hat but I cannot confirm this. Maybe a ex REME among us might know.
I have seen a picture of 3 of these, Green, Red & blue but in the picture they were not worn on any item of clothing. Cannot remember were or when I saw this picture.

I have these two variations, said to be beret / floppy hat badges from around Gulf War 1 (early 1990s) period.

REME sponsored Army cadet Force Detachments are another possibility.

Thanks for the information. Unless any other information else is added, I will take it that it is a variation of a floppy hat patch, then

There is also a desert subdued version which is a more likely contender for a desert dpm floppy hat. However, for many of these early 1990s desert subdued designs, the conflict was over before they could be delivered to theatre.
