9 A/T RCA Tab I have never seen before.
I was looking for a 9 A/T RCA tab with serifs for a while now. This one became available recently and I bought it. When it arrived the other day I was surprised how different it is from other examples in my WWII RCA tab collection. The "TH" in 9th is unknown to me as well as it being underlined
I understand that the 9 A/T RCA did not exist but titles were made up. Has any one ever seen this variation before? Or know anything about this example? I have included a 8 A/T RCA for reference. |

I'm under the impression (and might be quite incorrect) that this title is stated to be for the post WW2 9 A Tk Regt (SP) (Argyll Light Infantry).

Hi Ron, Keith has provided the answer. The 9th title was regimentally procured by the unit in the immediate post war period. The thinner pattern post war RCA unit titles were not authorized until 1948.
