Default Not again

Crap copy in my opinion, seller knows better. Like the one just sold below: a No 5 numeral - NOT. He even has the cheek to quote Glydes book to identify it, can't see Glyde stating the numerals were sew on. All ww1 numerals on colour patches that I own or have seen had lugs, the seller (who is an experienced collector and knows better) is unbelievably dishonest - passing off crap as genuine.
Three items from the same seller in as many days that are wrongly or dishonestly described.
1) Dud enamelled badge
2) Wrongly attributed numeral
3) Dud light horse badge
Caveat Emptor
Sorry if I'm ruffling feathers, but this kind of thing really SH*%TS me...

Never apologise for telling the truth. The world needs more of it.

Lets not forget also a convicted criminal (medal fraud - I have a Coins News article about it somewhere) plus he cost a good man his military career.

Yes, as Glyde I had quite a few colour patches with numerals affixed, in quite a number of variations, but I have never seen a sew-on version, nor do I refer to one in the book.

A similar example is listed as a German WW1 regimental button, I thought it may have been a German epaulette numeral. Personally never seen a sewn on Australian example.

More likely, it's denotes the age of the person that made it.
