Suffolk Cadet unit badges
Please can anyone explain to me the following conundrum?
A) K&K 2580 show a badge for Ipswich School, Suffolk- a greyhound and dragon supporting a shield with title scroll (see cloth badge pictured). B) Other sources refer to a badge for Ipswich High School Cadet Corps being a monogram of WM letters IHSCC. Badge A appears to have been used by Ipswich School CCF. Badge B I have never seen this bade, nor can I find any history to an Ipswich School or similar cadets corps. Please explain? Stephen.

The school wore the OTC badge from 1908 as seen in these photos. They did have a cadet corps prior to that. Another option for a CC badge is that some schools ran a CC in parallel for younger boys. However it's not a badge I have herd of before. |

Suffolk Cadets
Alan,
A good set of photos, all wearing the dog and dragon cap badges. Interesting that the shoulder titles and officer's collar dogs only appear in the last photo. I could not make out what the officer was wearing though. The PSI had also adopted the Corps cap badge. Stephen.
