Thank you for posting the pictures, every time I look at that old gear and clothing I think Hard Times, No walk in the Park.

Yes I saw the BW right away. I don't think they would sell one of those old Hackles Second W W. A Great War Hackle would be nicer.

Thank you for taking the time.

Thank you Mr Nemo It's appreciated. You have to understand this is a forum for badge discussion not the History or battles the Regiments fought in.
With Permission from Mr Bill I decided to "Rock the Boat" and write articles on the Black Watch as other Regiments that participated with them in their battles.
I think it makes the site a little more interesting then just discussing Badges. Giving the History of the Regiments who wore those Badges. I hope others do
same and write small articles on the history or battles of their Regiments!

I have More I have Written, plus I have a good one that I'm still working on! 56 pages and counting, due to the complexity of this Battle in WWII. Called;
The Battle For Verrières Ridge a “Griffin” Lay Dead on It’s Top Crest!

A detailed analysis of this epic Battle.

Thank you for taking the time to read it I'm glad you enjoyed it so much.

Thank you for your comments Mr Nemo

Default Re: Sgt Eric Richter

My name is Eric Ross, and my father, A/Sgt Alan D. Ross, (later RQMS) RHC, who was wounded at Woensdrecht, named me after his friend, Sgt Eric Richter who was KIA.
To find pictures of the actual Bren Gun Carrier he was killed in, was startling to say the least! I had no idea of the circumstances of his death until now. I am grateful that his memory lives on in this forum.

Thank you gentlemen.

Eric A. Ross CD
