Red Cross Tabard - Formation Signs
Some years ago I was fortunate enough to be able to buy this Red Cross Tabard. At the time I thought it was expensive, however seeing the thread on the Nurses Cape, I am sure it was not. It was in the hands of a dealer at a local weekly Antique-Flea Market and had a lot of interest. A couple of other dealers wanted to buy it and strip the Tabard to sell the patches separately. Having seen this being done one weekend at the Angel Islington, to a Patch Blanket, I really did not want this to happen to the Tabard. It came with several Photographs and some other items, an opportunity not to be missed. For as long as I own it it will remain as it is, hopefully at some time in the future, it will always stay that way. I posted this on another Forum about five years ago, but thought members here may like to see it. Regards, Clive.
