Default Poorly but nice

The attached badges are very very nice but each is poorly in its own way:

Nottingham School Officers Training Corps (1 Lug flattend)

Liverpool Regt TF 17 -20th Bn's (1 lug flattend)

2nd Bn Monmouthshire Regt (tip if tail missing.

The Pals badge is that made by Elkingtons in 1914 - as a partner to the silver version - the dies are the same ! It /they are' unofficial' but since the king was happy so was the WO.
The first OR's 'official' cap badge was WO Pattern 8520/1915 was issued in late 1915 and was die struck with NS loops.
the second 'official' version was WO Pattern Patt 9483/1917 which was authorised in23-5-1917 - die struck with a slider - all obsolete in 10-8-1921?1920 (I'll look it up in a mo)

Incidentally there was no gap between the eagle's legs on ORs badges - the easy way to distinguish betwixt officer's collar badge (with gap and loops) and the above mentioned 8520 (without gap and with NS loops)
easy !

Incidentally, the dark brown patina was specified in the WO description - though many of the 1st (unoff) Elk oes are often found highly polished to look like brasss - wrong!!!

I would agree £25-30 if in good condition.

With the lug in that condition then I would offer £20 for it myself.

If the lug was missing then half the price.
