Default Kings Light Infantry query

Hey

So I'm wondering if my suspicions about this button are correct

1st july 1881 the Kings Light Infantry is formed its name is then changed in march 1882 to emphasise the Shropshire connection, the Victorian and current KSLI button has a disc with Shropshire on it but in Gwen Squires books she says that a Gaunt pattern had a garter

So what I wonder this Button is is the short lived pattern from 1st july 1881 to 10th march 1882 when the name changed and perhaps the garter used instead of disc mentioned by gwen squire is a hangover from this 1st KLI pattern that has the garter

Or am I waaaaaay off

Anyways thoughts welcome not mines will probably be sold

I think that is indeed a better ID. But I have slightly different naming over time.

I got it from: 85th Infantry

And put this on my own page as: The King's Light Infantry
