Default KellsVC

Hello. Great great grandson of RobertKells VC with 9th Lancers who had sons and grandson that were awarded Military Medal in WW1 and DCM in WW2 most of which only recently discovered by my part of family. GGG Grandfather in 11th LightDragoons (eventually became 11th Hussars now Kings Royal Hussars) and 16th lancers (predecessors 16th/5th now Queens Royal Lancers). Robert went on to be in 1st European Bengal Light Cavalry which became 19th Hussars and eventually now The Light Dragoons I understand. All part of Royal Armour Corp as well. Interested mainly in British badges and awarded to units in which they and other relatives were involved particularly Cavalry and Royal artillery. And Guards. Robert was member of the Quuens Bodyguard of the Yeoman of the Guard. Any advise as to reliable sellers of real badges; have folks had good experiences with Andy who seems to participate here . Have bought some medals from London Medals (Richard Black) who were very helpful on medals.

Did participate here, but, I do not believe he would ever knowingly sell you a spurious badge unlike a number of others, I would certainly be very careful if I were you.

Andy is a seller to be trusted. I have had the benefit of a lot of advice from him and I always accept his judgement. Have a look at his eBay shop and his website SMM (Sell My Militaria)

Hello KY. My cousin's ex wife is related to Robert Kells. I remember over 20 years ago buying her a QC 9th Lancers badge. Not correct for period but best I could do at the time. Regards, Paul.
