Default Cameronians (scottish rifles)

Hi Guys
pictures of scottish rifles badge
is it military or sweetheart badge and where would it have been worn?

There is an item in the Seaforths of Canada album which reminds me of this badge.The badge is question is attached to a belt and there is a suggestion that the belt might have been worn by a Nursing Sister ( link below ).

Whilst to me the badge the subject of this thread is a undoubtable a sweethearts item,the strange rear fittings make me wonder if this badge could also have been worn as a buckle.

Yes I agree, if is was indeed worn on a belt and in uniform.

Its rather like some of the very attractive wifes belts one comes across, worn particularly in Cavalry regiments at regimental balls which featured the badge of the regiment on either side of ( and sometimes part of ) the buckle on a gold brocade belt.

Very attractive items but again totally unofficial.
