Default Duke of Connaught's

Hi all. Difficult to know which section to place this in but hopefully here will do?

Other than the 6th Bn Duke of Connaught's Own, Hampshire Regiment, 383 (DOC) Light Field Regt Royal Artillery and A Company (DOC) 2nd Bn Wessex Regiment (and it's decedent units, C Coy 6/7 (DOC) PWRR/ C Coy Royal Rifles Volunteers/679 Sqn (DOC) Army Air Corps), can anyone give me a definitive list of any other regiments or battalions/units that had the the title "Duke of Connaught's" in their name, in both the British and Commonwealth armies? Images of cap badges would be particularly welcome!

Regards

Tony

BTW, does your quest searching for the Duke also include the Duchess? She was also represented in the British Indian Army.

Do you know if these units wore the standard Royal Artillery cap badge or did they have their own individual cap badge designs?

I am not a badge guru, but I assume they wore from about 1901 the RA cap badge with the white metal M attached.

Yes as Wmr-RHB states they should wear the Royal Artillery gun cap badge with the affixed ‘M’ in WM for Militia. A picture of the men in service dress is here http://www.sligoarts.ie/media/MILITARY.pdf

However, they did have a specific HP for full dress.
