Default RA cap badge 1902/3

Hello,,
Have just purchased this badge. The vendor stated he was told it was only issued between 1902 to1903 with the 2 lugs at the top only. I have no reason to doubt him but as I will be selling it at a show later this month I wondered if anyone can confirm.this fact.
Regards
John

Yes, it was introduced at that time, replaced by a slidered version it continued in use though.

Thanks for that Leigh. I suppose it makes it a slightly scarcer issue although being the RA I would imagine thousands would have been issued over those 2 years.

I would have thought that they were issued until stock had been used up.
