Default West Riding ???

I've had this West Riding badge for many years, and just found it in a box of other military bits while looking for something else. I personally think it is 100% bogus due to the poor quality of the whiskers, well there aren't any actually, under the pennant and there is a bit of flash under what is supposed to be the whiskers. Plus the overall quality seems off. Not sure what to think about the tapered slider? Am I right about this one?

Appreciate your thoughts and if bad as I think, are there any other aspects that tell us it's bad?

The slider is similar to the F Narborough badges which I think were not always the best quality, so it may be ok but there are more knowledgeable people than me who could confirm.
Cheers,
Alex

As Alex has said looks like an unmarked F.N.B'HAM badge. https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...ctureid=143815

Thank you gentlemen. I am surprised, but compared to the more educated minds here I am still a toddler.....but learning and trying to learn!

Badges with these FN style sliders are quite common as Narborough was a prolific maker. They are not of the best quality, but representative none the less.
I would guess yours to be of WW2 era make.

I would not dismiss it as just "bad" although I would say that finding a more pleasing example should not present an issue.

Frank it is not in my collecting interest. Just one I must have picked up some years ago and was sitting in a box that I was sorting through. I honestly thought that due to the quality it was fake, but am happy to know it's not. But back in the box it goes.
