I may be getting this around my neck, but I think the Royal Warkshire Regiment and Fusiliers had this boss on the front of the officer's CFSC (with a bullion narrow flamed Fusilier Brigade badge on the left side).

Edit, checked the MHS Special Number "Coloured Field Service Caps Infantry", it states that R Warks Regt officers wore a black cord boss with a silver slipped rose on it and a silver regimental pattern badge on the left side of the body.
