Default Aussie Prisons help required

Can anyone tell me when New South Wales Prisons changed their ca badge to NSW Corrective Services please?

Does any one have any other NSW Prison badges with a kings crown maybe?

Thanks
Destro

Hi Destro,
Only saw your request today. N.S.W Prisons adopted the title the Department of Corrective Services in 1969.

I also have included a photo of Q/C variant of N.S.W.badge and it is exactly the same pattern that I have with a K/C.
Hope that helps.

Hello Bantam

Having recently visited the NSW Prison Service museum I did see an example of the KC type, it was worn on a white pith helmet.

Regards

Hi Destro ,
There was also a version of the K/C that was supposed to have been made by prisoners of which I've seen up for sale on a few occasions. The information I got about the date was from a book entitled The History of Australian Corrections by Sean O'Toole
Regards,
Bantam
