Default Hampshire Regt FS cap badge?

Hi Folks

I have this Hants badge on a slider, just looks like the rest of the badge has been cut off and discarded.

But its been mentioned that it might be for use on the Coloured Field Service cap?

Any thoughts?

Cheers
Sean

I have definitely seen an old photo of the Hampshire’s, 2nd Battalion (ex 67th) wearing a Tiger badge in their FSCs circa mid-1890s. I thought it was a collar badge.

The regt wore a bespoke Tiger badge on the FSC rather than a collar. However it was lugged. The replacement slider is too long for a side cap.

This is the w/m volunteer one which is not a match for the badge in the first picture.
